How to design stone fire doors without collapse?
The fire door is an indispensable building facility in a building. It is installed at various positions on the wall of the building, and some are even in prominent positions of the building. If the fire door is well done, it will have no effect on the decorative effect of the building. On the contrary, it will seriously affect the decorative effect of the building. Figure 1 and Figure 2 are the fire doors taken by the author in the home of China Resources Vientiane Restaurant. Due to the design problems of the fire doors, it can be seen from the pictures that they have been seriously collapsed due to frequent opening and closing.

Figures 3 to 5 were taken from the fire doors and water well doors in Baoneng Building.

The reason why the above fire door and water well door stone collapsed is that there are problems in the design of fire door and water well door. Most of these fire doors are processed by skimming the bottom, and because of the sharp corners formed after skimming the bottom, the fire doors and water well doors will collapse under a little force when they are opened and closed. It is not difficult to understand this truth from the analysis of the CAD drawings in Figures 6 to 9.
Figure 6 is a right-angle form without bottom-skimming processing. This right-angle form is not easy for stone materials to collapse and drop corners; Figure 7 is a form with a 64° angle. In this case, the sharp angle is not very sharp and it is not very easy. Edge collapse and corner drop; Figure 8 is the form of a 45° angle. In this case, the sharp corner is a bit sharp, and the stone is easy to collapse and drop corners; The corners are sharper, and the stone is easy to chip and lose corners. As the angle of the bottom of the stone becomes smaller and smaller, it is easier to collapse and drop corners.

The design of fire doors and water well doors is based on the principles shown in Figure 6 to Figure 9 to avoid too sharp corners. As long as the fire doors and water well doors are blunt, the edge collapse of fire doors and water well doors can be reduced, and even the gap between fire doors and water well doors can be eliminated. The collapse of the well door occurred.
Several forms of fire doors and well doors:
(1) Direct touch
This kind of fire door and water well door has a simple form and does not need any processing. This form of edge processing is best to grind 1*1 edges on the surface.

(2) The hypotenuse direct contact type
The hypotenuse direct contact type fire door and water well door are originally better forms of fire door and water well door. Unfortunately, this form of fire door and water well door is rarely seen in domestic buildings. From Figure 11, it can be seen that the decorative effect of this form of fire doors and water well doors is good, with a three-dimensional effect, and can avoid edge collapse of fire doors and water well doors.

(3) Front and back open chicken mouth direct contact type
The front and back open the chicken mouth direct contact type fire door, and the water well door is nested and slotted with each other. One with a chicken beak on the side and one with a chicken beak on the bottom. Both are installed nested within each other. In order to prevent edge collapse, leave a gap of not less than 1mm between the two boards.

Figure 12
(4) Open chicken mouth type (slotted type) direct contact type
Figure 13 The purpose of opening the chicken mouth in the form of fire doors and water well doors is to prevent fire doors and water well doors from opening and closing collisions, thereby reducing the purpose of edge collapse.

(5) Slotted skimming type
Fig. 14 Slotted skimming type fire door, water well door prevent fire door, water well door from opening, closing and collapsing. Even if the edges and corners are chipped, it is still in the groove, which is better than the effect of edge chipping and corner drop on the surface.

(6) Chamfering and bottoming, skimming oblique touch type
The chamfering bottom of Fig. 15, skimming and oblique touch type waterproof door and water well door are the most used, and Fig. 1 to Fig. 5 in the text are all fire doors and water well doors of this form. In order to reduce the edge chipping of this stone, you can grind a small round edge of R5 or a small bevel edge of 5*5 at the sharp corner, which can effectively reduce the edge chipping and corner drop of the stone.

(7) Leaving 5mm for skimming the bottom and skimming the oblique touch type
Leaving 5mm bottom and skimming oblique touch type is a little better than the fire door and water well door in Figure 15. It is better to leave a seam of more than 1mm between the two stone materials, which can effectively reduce the number of waterproof doors and water well doors. Door opening and closing collisions, thereby reducing edge collapse and corner drop.

(8) Leaving 5mm to skim the bottom and leaving seams to touch directly
Fig. 18 Leave 15 to leave the bottom, leave seams to directly hit the fire door, the water well door to open the door, and the closed stone will not collide, so the stone will not collapse or drop corners.
This type of door is slightly less decorative because of the seams left, but it is better than the tightly seamed fire doors, water well doors with edge collapse and corner drop.

(9) French side style
French side fire doors and water well doors are formed by nesting in the shape of the sides, with good adhesion. In order to prevent the collision between A and B, this type of fire door and water well door puts a layer of adhesive tape on the inner arc of B, which can effectively reduce the collision when the door is opened and closed, thereby protecting the stone.

(10) Sunken fire doors
Figure 20 and Figure 21 are less used fire doors, but they are a very good form of fire doors and water well doors, with strong three-dimensional effect and good decorative effect. The most important thing is that this kind of fire door and water well door will not collide at all when they are opened and closed, so the stone will not collapse or drop corners.

Fire doors and water well doors Through the transformation and combination of the above graphics, more forms of fire doors and water well doors can be created to enrich the forms of fire doors and water well doors.
